Best outdoor Room Design – 5280 Magazine

This 3,500 SF home takes on a new meaning of living. With influences from Brazil, Spain, Portugal, and Palm springs this house uses a soothing neutral palette of limestone, wood, and bronze thought out the home. Though every design decision was intentional and assiduously thought out, Entasis wanted a feeling of disarming simplicity throughout the home. Influenced by mid-century design, we wanted continuity of materials— white rift oak & natural limestone —and architectural strength with clerestory windows, cantilevering structures and broad roof lines. Everything was honest about this house. Everything. There was a very limited material palette, but we focused on texture throughout. The retaining walls are a split-face stone, and then we have the millwork. The home is a timeless piece of minimalist architecture.
